Classrooms and Community

Avalon Center does not yet have a physical campus, so all courses you will find here are offered as distributed learning courses. Our cyber-classrooms are held on the Moodle online learning environment. You can check out Moodle and see what classes are in session by clicking on the "Online Classrooms" link to the left. Some courses allow guests. You may contact the instructor for permission to visit the classroom.

When you are not in class, you can visit the ACDS Message Board, a bulletin board system with discussion forums for each department of the Center, general news forums, and the Library forum where you can read and post reviews of books, articles, or web resources. If you just want to let your hair down or introduce yourself, stop in at the Flaming Head Pub for a virtual shepherd's pie and a vicarious flagon of cyber-mead. Because our student body is still very small, our message board is a quiet place. Guests are most welcome for a taste of the collegiate life at a Druidic institution of higher learning.

The John Dee Library is the beginning of an online library system that is under development. In the future we hope that our library will be a comprehensive resource for all departments of ACDS.

Also at left you will see links to a page about Avalon's official academic robes and hats, and another link to the Shambles, our marketplace page where you will find links to many shops and friends of Avalon.

Last of all, but not least, you will see a link to our Donations page. ACDS is dependent upon donations and patronage. Help us to continue offering inexpensive collegiate-quality education and to establish the institutional foundations for Druidic learning that will last far into the future.
