HA 102. Energetic Anatomy (3 cr). Flidais Airmid.

This course looks at the various energetic fields within and around the body. We will discuss the aura, chakras, meridians, etc. Additionally, we will look at how astrology, natural rhythms, and the elements relate to the body. Students will learn techniques to “feel” and “see” the energetic body. They will learn how to recognize disharmony in the body, and use simple techniques to restore balance. Students will also learn various exercises that they can do to supplement and improve the flow of their own energetic field. This class serves as a foundation for other courses within the Healing Arts Department, especially if students are interesting in studying the more energetic therapies like crystal healing, flower essences, acupressure and Reiki.

HA 103.  Meditation and Wellness (3 cr).

Techniques of mediation in terms of health and magical practice, and how these contribute to general well-being.  Creating safe inner spaces for meditation and exploration.

HA 104.  Nutrition (3 cr).

General nutrition and diet for health and Druidic living.

HA 105. Aromatherapy. Flidais Airmid, Instructor

Aromatherapy is the science of using aromatic substances for therapeutic uses. Essential oils are distilled from flowers, stems, roots, barks, leaves and fruits. They are 80% more potent than the plants from which they are distilled. Aromatherapy also has a strong energetic component making them useful for emotional and spiritual healing. This class looks at both the physiological and energetic effects of essential oils. We will journey through the various systems of the body, looking at how essential oils can effectively treat a multitude of disorders. The emphasis will be on blending well-rounded scents. We will be using the Blending Factors method rather than the Note System of Blending.

HA 106. Laying on of Stones. Flidais Airmid, Instructor

Crystal Healing works with the energy of the earth to promote health and well-being. In this class we focus on the healing technique known as the Laying on of Stones. In this modality specific crystals are placed on various points of the body, allowing the energies of the crystals to intermingle with the energies of the client. The crystals work by a resonating principle that brings the body towards balance. Students will develop an intimate connection with many different crystals through research, mediation and practical application.

HA 107. Flower Essences (3 cr). Flidais Airmid

This class will focus on the original 38 flower remedies formulated by Dr. Edward Bach. Students will get an intimate knowledge of the energetic properties of these plants through study, meditation and practical application. We will also look at the Ogham in relation to flower remedies since some of Bach’s remedies are also plants of the Ogham. We will deal with the energetic root of disease and learn the various ways that flower essences can be employed to remedy these problems. The process of making essences will be covered and all students will be expected to formulate some of their own essences and work with them. Though the main focus will be on Bach’s original 38 remedies, the use of other flowers essences will also be discussed.

HA 108 Crystal Healing (3 cr). Tsis'detsi Tsigoti.

In this beginning course on healing with crystals, we are going to look closely at the mineral world as a tool for healing and balancing. We are going to explode some of the ‘new age’ myths and de-mystify the stones and their powers. By the end of the course, students will have a fundamental working knowledge as to how to use crystals – mainly quartz for this course but others will be discussed – to augment their personal growth and healing of self and others.

HA 201. Celtic Reiki (3 cr). Flidais Airmid

Reiki is a healing modality that utilizes universal life force energy to promote positive changes in the body, mind and spirit. This universal life force energy flows through all things and has been known by many different names across the globe, such as qi, ki, chi, prana, etc. The Celts referred to this energy as Nwyfre. Through Reiki attunements individuals are opened up to this energy in order to be better conduits for its flow. This energy can then be channeled for use in laying-on-of-hands treatments. Specifically, Celtic Reiki uses the energy vibrations of the specific plants and trees associated with the Ogham. Although this is a relatively new system of healing, it draws on ancient Druidic principles, encompassing the spirit of the Celts. In this class students will come to know, understand and “feel” the energy of all of the Ogham trees, plants and symbols that make up the Celtic Reiki system. All three attunements to become a Celtic Reiki Master are provided within this course via distance attunements.

HA 202. Advanced Meditation Techniques

Advanced practice of meditation in Eastern and Western traditions for use in magical journeys and health.

HA 308 Advanced Crystal Healing (3 cr). Tsis'detsi Tsigoti.

The purpose of this course is to expand and elaborate on what was covered briefly as an introduction to crystal healing in HA108. We have learned and understood that specific stones have specific properties which can compliment and enhance the healing experience. Now we are going to examine those stones and practices in greater detail and learn new techniques. We are also going to expand our collection of healing stones. By the end of the course, students will have a more advanced working knowledge as to how to use different and varied stones – to augment their personal growth and healing of self and others.
